Friends,
My 15 minutes of fame is here...I have been chosen to show my work in the Oregon Governors office from May 4-July18, 2012
This is a huge honor and I am sorry they did not mention my gallery in their press release..I will try to fix that! ha It just goes to show that if you live long enough your 15 minutes might happen in your lifetime! This was a collaboration between myself, a poet and a bookbinder...all three of us did huge amounts of work...we set the edition at 50 and regret it...I think we have 20 completed and it has taken nearly a year....
Not woodblock, but still printmaking, the book is 10x7 inches and in a clamshell case. Yale bought one...I think we have sold 6 so not exactly setting the world on fire, but you never know.

Sound like a fun project.... "never work" ... just playing.
Enjoyed the site.

Someone just asked me about a list of what we donated to charity for the Japan Tsunami fundraiser and I admit to knowing what was send to charity by me from the Baren account but not what went from other venues.
I can look at who showed the work but I will have to hunt through many emails to find it....
I know Sharen and Preston and Linda and Ruth and Carol and the South Africa contingent all sold a work.
Can each of you send me the total you sent to charity, off list. I will compile it and put it on the Relief for Relief website.

Also there are quite a few prints left...consider 60 people sending 30 prints each...1800 works of art...so quite a bit. 120 prints went to S Africa and they sold an amazing amount of work. We ended up shipping it twice, due to the first set being lost and arriving a month late for the exhibit.

I think I should send a sampling of maybe 10 prints to each participant ...that would be 1/3 of the work and I think there is that much left. I have heard from a couple who think this is a good idea and one person who did not. I actually thought getting 10 prints back of an assortment might be a nice thank you for your efforts. If anyone wants to opt out of this, I can do that as well. Send ideas.

If anyone has an idea on how to sell the rest of the work and wants to take it on, I am happy to pass the work on or distribute it. However, I cannot take on another big sales effort unless it takes very little time. I am over committed lately, more than usual!

So if you sold some work and sent money to charity, let me know how much money was sent. Thanks.
