The prints are beautiful and the exhibit in Portland is shaping up. The work

Barbara,
Your schedule of prices sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
How many do they have to buy to get a portfolio? 5? 10? Can they
buy a portfolio if they only buy 3 or 4 prints?
Those are my only questions. ;-) (Until I think of more...)

I think $45 each and they will go quickly and successfully. IMHO

Hello All. I got a little ambitious yesterday, as well as unrealistic about available time, and I started a large reduction print on damp paper, which I don't normally use. My question is how long can paper sit out damp without worry? Earlier in the week I got some paper damp and had to wait a couple of days to print so I rolled it and stuck it in the fridge and it was fine. It's going to be hard to find space for this one if I have to do the same. I know I've seen the subject discussed here before but I can't recall the number of days/hours you are safe. The paper (Echizen Kozo) is sandwiched in newsprint in a plastic bag. Thanks for any advice.Andrea Starkey

Perhaps I missed a previous conversation, but I'm wondering how shipping expenses are going to be handled? Would the actual cost be added on? Or, a general cost added, like $5 shipping and handling for US., etc. ??

As for the print prices, I think $60 for single prints is good, and then go with the suggestion Barbara mentioned (below).

Thank you!

Boy, the prints are looking good! Can't wait to see the whole collection.

I, too, like $60 for the prints being sold individually. The suggestions Barbara made are good for the portfolios.

I'm not sure how long can paper sit out damp without worry, but. I think you
can leave it to dry and dump just before printing. That's what I do, and
theres no problems. To be honest I don't like idea of containing wet paper
in plastic bags. During printing process I keep stack of printing papers
between wet newsprints (few sheets from each side). I recommend wide using
of

to control level of moisture.
Im curious about your opinions guys. ;)

The problem I had with keeping paper moist for a long time was that the paper became mildewed. That was pretty bad so now I keep an eye on it and don’t let it stand too long. I’m in LA which is basically a desert but the paper didn’t know that and got mildewed anyway. I was half way through printing and I had to use bleach to get rid of the mildew. It was pretty awful. I stick my paper in the freezer when i'm not printing. i take it out
when i want print again and is usually thawed by the time i get set
up, organized and ready to print.

Looking at the scanned images--excellent job, Barbara!--I think we are building a great collection. I worry a bit, however, about somebody being left with numerous prints, incomplete sets, etc., and having to try to sell them on street corners over a long period of time.

I would not be adverse to lowering the price on the larger two sets (30 and 60 prints) in order to spur purchases at this level. I confess, however, that I'm not much at marketing prints.

Best,
Ray

Well, we have decided that someone can order 10 and get a portfolio so that is
helpful...
I hope I don't have to sell them on street corners!
Maybe Etsy.... :~))
