Dear Barbara,

I would very much like to participate in the above portfolio, as long as
you feel that a small (but hopefully stunning) image within the paper
size is appropriate; there would be rather a lot of blank paper. if you
can live with this, please add my name.

I'm having an extended break from exchanges as I'm already working all
hours in the studio but I thought I should stiffen the sinews and step
up for this one.

Very Best, as always,

Andy English,

Barbara... You must have missed my note last week when I said I'd like to be
included. If there is still room, please, please include me in the Japan
disaster relief project.

Thanks Andy, and I think you can use smaller paper. I envisioned it as all the
same size but several people have asked for smaller paper size, so lets do what
we can and have the prints up to oban. I think the donation is more important
than the paper size. A stunning print on smaller paper will be welcome and
sought after by all
My best

Hi Barbara -- since you say we can pick our paper size, I too would like to be included in the Japan Relief Fundraiser Edition. Thanks for clarifying about the paper size. I think you'll get more people signing up now that we know that.

GOOD MORNING BAREN FORUM

The outpouring of sign ups for the benefit is great...I always knew that the
baren was an exceptional groups of printmakers.
You can still sign up, I am not cutting this off until the last minute so there
may be two portfolios by the time we are done.

The size and number of prints has come into question so here are some answers

Size: UP to oban, or 10x15
This means you can use a smaller size if you wish as the cost of paper is a
factor for almost everyone
The portfolios will be 10x15

Number of Prints: 30 prints, like an exchange
If you send less we will still use them, this is a donation folks

Send work after May 12 and before mid June to

Barbara Mason
4440 SW 198th
Aloha OR 97007 USA

US Postal mail is the cheapest so use that for shipping

I will be away until May 12 and I don't want them piling up on the doorstep. (
will anyone actually be done that early???) We are now thinking of exhibition
opportunities for at least one full set of the prints and with luck it can
travel and therefore raise a little extra $$$. I am hunting a sponsor for the
exhibition to frame it and ship it. More on this later. I think I can organize a
few friends here to help me, maybe Sharri or Renee and Carol Chappel has already
started looking for a venue to show the prints in Corvallis, Oregon. We are off
to a great start.

This is an interesting article on Art and Japan by
Shinya Watanabe is an independent curator based in Tokyo and New York. He
teaches on the faculty of art at Temple University Japan.

Subject: [Baren 43018] MOMA show and website on German expressionism and a question
Send Message: To this poster

MOMA in NYC is just opening a show on German Expressionism. It's called German Expressionism: the graphic impulse. Supposedly there are a lot of prints on display. Since I live on the west coast, I won't get to see this show, but MOMA has a related website which features 30 German Expressionist artists. You can click on their work by category -- for example, the type of print (woodcut, intaglio, etc.) and see works from the museum's collection. I looked at it briefly, but can see it's worth a lot longer investigation!

One more question, is it too late to sign up to come to the summit in SanAntonio? I looked at the website and the date for signing up is past, but the number of possible participants hasn't been reached.

Dear Rabbit Exchange people,
Some rabbits escaped via the mail today without any numbers, though they are titled and signed; my bad.

Was there someone who needed a street address corrected from what was on the list? or did that get taken care of? or am I thinking of something else?
