We currently have 81 signed up!!!
In today's lingo: OMG.

Here is the last announcement for this project. I had planned to keep sign
ups open until the end of January but I will have to stop at 100; that's
only 19 spots left open. Remember contributions don't really have to be in
until I announce that the blocks will be mailed.

This week I will start a blog for the project so everyone can follow without
other clutter.
After I close the sign up I can order the blocks. Design is coming along but
tough to do in a small scale without the blocks here. We will probably reach
four full blocks so your "print" will be a panel of four sheets.

EVERYONE INVITED!
Sign up is open now until end of January 2011 or we reach 100 participants.
Deadline for returning a very small carved block is December 2011.

As the page says, monumental puzzle projects are a collaborative effort
among printmakers world-wide to compose an awesome print with little effort
on the part of each printmaker.
Basically, each printmaker receives a smallish block of wood which fits
neatly into the overall puzzle design. Each printmaker carves their block,
returns to the coordinator and receives in turn a huge print containing the
creations of printmakers from all over the world.

I am extending the invite to other groups so if you have your own group of
printmakers, everyone is welcomed.

Three up today ...

The first one is a light bluish grey one for the snowy sky ...

The paper is getting pretty damp now, so next up has to be something 'small', to give it a chance to dry out a bit. This deep blue on some clothing will fill the bill:

Then back to the wider areas; here's an overtone on the ferry, and also picking up the skin tones on some of the people:
