Happy New Year, everyone! Thanks for all your advice, examples, and
enthusiasm. I mostly lurk and read, but I do appreciate all the
discussion and insights very much. In the Year of the Rabbit, I hope
to do more printing (but my calendar for other art is getting full, so
that may be unrealistic). I taught my daughter the basics of moku
hanga over her Christmas break from art college, and she loved it!
Now I'm determined to finish a couple of half-done projects, and have
signed up for the New Year's card exchange. She encouraged me, so I'm
going to let her help - addressing all the envelopes!

Wishing you all good printing in the new year.

Hi All!
Thanks to those of you who responded both on the list and off-list to the query about a theme for this exchange. From those who responded we came up with the following ideas: Mythology, Where I Live (regional), Home, Botanicals, Myths and Legends, and Around the Corner. Mythology was the unquestionable favorite, without it being put out there for an official vote, so as manager, I declare the theme for this exchange to be Mythology, which includes myths and legends from every culture both ancient and modern throughout the world. What a feast of ideas this one will conjure!

Sign-ups officially begin in just a few hours. Ready! Set! Go!

Happy New Year, everyone! Whew! We made it. The DM and I surprised ourselves by spending some of New Year's Eve out on the town (such as it is). We enjoyed a fine meal with friends and then celebrated New York New Year down at the local pub. What's New York New Year, you ask? Well! Let me tell you! One finds a television airing the festivities in New York City "live," of course... a party in a
