Hello, I do not know if you already received the answer to your question.

The print is called :
Western hamlet, Horyu temple
(Horyuji nishi sato)
1956

Do you want a picture of the finished print ???

Regards,

André ...  from France.

Thanks Jennifer, I am glad you enjoyed the video. Woodblock printmaking
does not get as much media time as some of the other techniques so
whenever we find info that can be educational or just plain interesting I
am happy to pass that along to the group.

Thanks Andre, we did find out more info about that print and the video
from David Bull. The video clip at the Baren blog is an excerpt of a much
longer 40 minute DVD that comes along in a new Hasui book published by
Hotei publishing. By the way the Watanabe printer in the video is Ono
Gintaro a master craftsman.
Here is a link to the final image on Hanga.com, one of the last prints
designed by Hasui:

Andre if you have another source for the image I would be interested in
seeing that version.

thanks...Julio

Thanks Julio.Rodriguez. I did try to thank you privately but the
email wouldn't go. Now I have publicly thanked the wrong person.
Sorry and thanks again.

There's hope for this city. Here are 4 sketches for a new kiosk at Freund Marsh, where it will join 3 other existing signs. The trail at Fruend Marsh will eventually connect with a trail being developed throughout the city and base. There's a bird sanctuary on the base that will be opened up to the public.

Pigeon Guillemots are the featured bird at this site. It's nice to have a focus for a panel rather than the usual montage of various subjects.
