Well, where does that leave those of us who use water-based inks and
linoleum? Or in my case Safety-Kut and water-based inks? I print with a baren, not
with a press, but my work lies quite strongly in the "western" graphic
tradition. It seems to me that setting categories of water or oil ends up excluding
all too many artists.

I appreciate moku hanga and if I had more studio space I'd probably try it
out, but this is the Baren Forum, *not* the moku hanga forum...

Now *that* is a cool press!

By the way, with these 'ere cork prints -- are you using cork for the colour,
then a black key block?

Thank you Benny and the others that have left comments. I did get it to accept comments finally.
Benny, I have a stack of blocks I am carving right now - all of Michigan. I have some from the U.P near Fayette that I am especially eager to get printed. There is not enough time in the day! The one shown on my blog is right outside my parents back door from about this time last year. Beautiful!

And, oh, what a happy day! I talked to my dad yesterday and he said "I hear you like mahogany to work on. I have a stack of it here if you want to have it." Do I want it?????? I'll be right there! (Well, not right there......it's 4 1/2 hours away.) He, over his 80 years, was a builder of pipe organs. He used mahogany for the cases the pipes were secured in. They are now downsizing their house and he's sold his pipe organ and pipes. So, Woo Hoo! I get some mahogany to play with!
