I dropped my prints in the mail yesterday so they should arrive in a few days. I enclosed return postage in an envelope, I hope that is the accepted way to do that. The 1 cent stamps are pretty cool. Anyway if its not up to snuff you have the means to send them back to me. Enjoy.
Oh yeah, sorry about the label on the flap folder, I had a little mishap with my iron and trying to make sure my little girl wasn't pulling on the cord.

Hi All,
I started printing my first moku hanga yesterday and so far, so good. I was
using extender and, gosh, the texture, smell, and stickiness seemed a lot
like honey. My husband even tasted it and said it tasted like honey. So, is
it honey? That would be a lot cheaper.
Charles, I cannot find your posting about the Solstice exchange but I
remember there was an August deadline. Is that to sign up or the deadline
for prints? Sorry I can't find the listing.
As for my comment yesterday re tutorial, I MEANT to say that everyone could
come to my place and give ME some lessons!
Peace,
Eileen
Jan,
You are too kind ... using heat is an old method, not original with me. Alas, most modern irons do not get hot enough. You are lucky to have one that put out enough heat.
It is distressing to learn that acetone did not work. So far, acetone still works fine for the toners used by my printers.
Cheers ....... Charles
I just sent you the information privately.

Carol, congratulations on your retrospective. The link to see it
however would not work for me?? Eileen, thank you for the
compliment. I think we are often our own worse critics. But, this
group of prints was so outstanding and so strong that I felt
overwhelmed by the talent. I like the color and composition in mine,
it is just pale by comparison. A lot of that has to do with the
printing process and the ability to get the water based pigment to
print darker. I think using a press instead of my baren did not help
with that part. Hanga is beautiful and it is technical and I strongly
admire those who are better, more accomplished than I am. Of course I
am looking at a lot of oil based prints and than looking at a water
based one and obviously they are going to be very different from each
other. I did like using my little press for it and I think i will try
that again. It seems to take time and experience to perfect this
skill, but if you enjoy it than it is worth doing.

Peter, In the middle of the day in full sun about one minute for the random dot screen and one minute for the image.
Try this on a small piece to be sure.
My best
