re: Fool.
A fool in some cultures is a teacher, not a person/being deficient in some
way. A fool uses humor to point out faults, which encourges behavior changes. A
jester is a type of fool. A fool can make us laugh at our own foibles... so
that we can accept (own) those foibles and have the strength to move towards
change. The fool can say things to even the most powerful and be alive the next
day.
Fools are politically correct! Zeesh.

Another fool here....

I would like one of our exchanges under the heading of Proverbs. I
enjoyed the one we had that David suggested years ago on
Ju nin, to iro' (Exchange #5)
> What does it say? In its simplest translation: 'Ten people, ten
> colours'. It can be interpreted (as can most proverbs) in varied ways;
> the basic idea is that 'There is no accounting for tastes', or perhaps
> better is 'One man's meat is another man's poison'.
But I am not fussy.... any subject that needs a bit of "deep thought"
would be my choice.
Maybe even the origin of phrases...... like you find in "Trivia"
books...... or is that Too Deep!!
I am sorry I have been so busy these last three years but am hoping to
get back to participating .
