I have used gold, silver and bronze powders. I have mixed them directly
into existing inks for special affects. I also have mixed them for use with
oil based inks using linseed oil. You might try a watercolor medium such as
gum arabic, to mix with your powder and see how that works, also adding
glycerin might help. I know when I was using aqua kolor that putting liquid
dish soap on the plexi plates for monotypes helps the paint to release and
that is mostly the glycerine ingredient. Also when mixing up my powdered
pigments for hanga I use alcohol and water. This is regular drug store
alcohol. You need a mortar and pestal adding 2 tblsp of alcohol to 1 tblsp
of water.

Su... I received Julio's colophon info yesterday with a sincere promise his prints are being mailed as I type. Everything is already collated, with a post-it marking Julio's slot and I am printing up the finished colophon today, so I expect once I get his prints I should be able to bundle everything up and have it out within a day or two. I'll be sure to announce when I reach that point as I know all of you are very anxious to receive exchange #32, certainly before exchange #33!!!

Hi Aeleen,
Of course, it is up to you but still short just about less than half the
sets.
If you happen to get them done, go ahead and send them, even late.
Otherwise, I have marked you as dropped with a question mark to remind me to
double check with you at a later date.
Regards,
Maria

Hello all,
I recently began work on my print for print exchange
#34. I've made a few test prints using my favorite
Charbonnel etcing inks but have decided that I would
like to use water based inks for this print. To that
end I've ordered a few Daniel Smith water based relief
inks to try my hand at. I'm aware many printmakers
use this ink but not don't know about the pros and
cons of the product. The main question that comes to
mind, do the primaries colors blend well in creating
secondaries (I prefer mixing my own)? Any comments on
working with this ink are most welcome.
Cheers, peggy
