What a family!

Thanks for the glass link, Mike, I guess high energy creativity runs in the
family!

I just had a reception at Cheryl McGinnis Gallery, here in NY. Cheryl chose
my cyanotypes for the card, but she included a new woodcut in the show, too.
I put photos up on my website at www.aprilvollmer.com/microspace

When that show comes down, I have been invited to show at the Brooklyn
Botanic Garden's Steinhardt Gallery. For the last ten years I have given
talks about Japanese woodblock at the Sakura Matsuri, Cherry Blossom
Festival. Japanese friends find this an amusing event, as there are many
westerners demonstrating Japanese activities (drumming, music, martial
arts), AND, there is no drinking permitted. Very untraditional!

In any case, this year I will have a show at the Steinhardt Conservatory
Gallery from April 7 to May 6, and will give a few additional artist talks
during this year's Sakrua, April 28 and 29. It would be great to see some
Baren folk.

I just updated my website with woodblock classes I will be teaching this
summer: Anderson Ranch (most exciting!), Frogman's, MakingArtSafely and
Maine College of Art. Let me not forget Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, May
19 and 20! Hope to catch Frank Trueba!
