Since it is called an (card)exchange, then it should be one. I think we all understand busy. If you buy the 6$ pack of Japanese Postcards ,and use postcard postage it's less than 50$.Yes a little bit of time, and the extras I give out and sell a few.
At Art fairs people try to get you to sell for next to nothing, then I say" If I wanted to give it away, let me give it to who I want to give it to"

For my own information I did a bit of New Years cards research.
Below are snippets of this.
It looks like you have, depending on how you interpret it, until February 18
to get them out.

"In ancient times, the Japanese New Year (shogatsu) is based on the
same Chinese calendar as the Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese New Year
(at the beginning of spring). Since 1873, Japan has followed the same
months as the Gregorian calendar, so January 1st is the official
New Year's Day for Japan. It is one of the most important festivals
of the whole year.
...
Instead of sending Christmas cards, Japanese people send these postcards so
that they arrive on the 1st of January. The post office guarantees to
deliver the
greeting postcards on the first of January if they are marked with the words
nengajo and are posted within a time limit, from mid-December to near the
end of the month.

--------
Chinese New Year is the longest and most important celebration in the
Chinese calendar.
The Chinese year 4705 begins on Feb. 18, 2007.

Wow, Wouter,
Way to go! What a cool press, and nice images, too.
If your cards are later than Feb. you can send them to me and I will be
happy to include yours with mine. From the looks of things I will not
be sending mine until about April this year! Too many commitments came
after the sign-up for me to get them out anywhere nearly on time, but
they WILL arrive, in April.
Cheers,
Sharri

Almost completely OFF-TOPIC but SO uplifting.

http://www.dharmasite.net/thousandhandguanyin.wmv

This video of a performance of the "Thousand-Hand Guanyin" by the Chinese
Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe was recorded in Beijing during the
Spring Festival this year. The 21 dancers are completely deaf and rely on
signals from trainers at the four corners of the stage. The lead dancer is
29 year old Tai Lihua, who has a BA from the Hubei Fine Arts Institute (in
case you're interested).

Best wishes for a very happy holiday,

Mike
