Barbara, thank you! I have one of those more straight bull nosed
chisels and I'm interested to try using it again in the Steiner way
you describe. It was my first purchase of a bull nosed chisel and
was the wrong kind as its handle was quite long, and I never was
comfortable using it, but now, long handle or not, I'm willing to
give it another try. I too have found carving thin lines daunting.
However, I've come to kind of like thick lines overall. They give a
boldness to the print that I like for black and white work.

If you want a beautiful case to keep the exchange in you can order through the Baren Mall:
http://www.barenforum.org/mall/products/exchange_cases.html
An attractive way to keep the prints together and protect them. And now would be a good time to order a case for Exchange 29 or to hold previous exchanges. The set of prints look much more impressive in a case!

My X-28 prints have arrived.....well, they did not have long to travel as
I live near Sharen..just a few suburbs over....thank you so much to all
the participants for their prints and to Sharen Linder (X-28 coordinator)
and Mike Lyon (Exchange Manager) for all the efforts behind the scenes
cordinating the exchanges.
That's 28 formal exchanges plus a few assorted Salons & other special
projects...wow...count the prints ( at 31 per exchange !) ....that's over
27,000 prints that have come out of barenforum.org members making their
way out to the world....Congratulations !!!
