Yes, that first pricing response is mine on Robert Genn's site.. That's my
story and I'm sticking to it. There are many different opinions as in all
these types of questions.
You may also like reading and thinking about the art issues on
painterskeys.com. Often it strikes and chord and I will clickback.

Bobbi--
Regarding selling out of my studio: I live in Salt Lake City--which isn't
known for its fabulous art collectors, but there are some. Austin must have
art buyers if Salt Lake has them!
It seems to work best to get work out and seen by people first, in a venue
like art festivals or...? I don't think people would come to my studio if
they hadn't seen my work someplace first.
But I think saying "my studio is open 1-3 pm on Saturdays" has been a good
thing, very helpful. I got that tip from www.artbusiness.com, a great
website with tons of interesting articles.

But do you understand what this guy has done?
He has obviously obtained a number of the volumes of the Hokusai Manga
- quite a rarity these days - and has taken his scissors to them,
breaking up the books and displaying and selling the 200 sheets
separately ...

The Great Baren Cairn is officially closed to new sign ups.
Thank you all 79 participants for playing. Next few communications will be
directly to your email boxes. For now, a few weeks of "silence" while I buy
wood, decide on a design, cut the pieces and sneak in a couple of
festivals...three to be exact!
Your "job" is to wait patiently while I get all this going. I will ask
everyone to confirm participation and their address at some later time
before mailing out the blocks.
Next, the wood!
