Derrek,
I am in Vancouver, WA. We will have all the people on this side of the
river (Columbia) and Portland, OR ('t other side of the river) to pull
from. Several people have already offered and some have even been
accepted! If you are close let me know. Some people decided to split
the difference and stay ON the river (one member volunteered to moor
her boat there and it can sleep several -)

Annie,
I haven't been able to access your comment section on your blog, but
when you sell Fine Art you are still only selling access to your image,
not the image itself. You retain all rights to reproduction. I guess
I don't understand the difference between that and the service you are
selling as an illustrator - but the State sees a difference there
somewhere. The State works in wondrous ways.

I have some nice hosho paper that has one slightly shinier side that I got from the barens mall. Which side do I print my block on? Shiny or less shiny?

Smooth side is usually the paste side, which is usually the printing side...so probably the shiny side. I bought some paper I thought was handmade and it turned out not to be..so I will see if it works. Printmaking is always a challenge, isn't it???
