Hi guys,

I have heard that Oil of Wintergreen is a non toxic way to transfer
laser copies to wood, but I haven't tried it, yet. Wintergreen is
only toxic if you drink it. You can get it at any pharmacy. I would
wear gloves, just as a precaution, but apparently it does not create
toxic fumes. I am holding on to my older than dirt iron, because it
makes pretty decent transfers. If you see a really, really old iron
at the Goodwill, or thrift store, pick it up and try it! The new
ones don't work as well - apparently they just don't get hot enuf to
do the job. IMHO they don't do a terrific job of ironing, either,
although I seldom use one for the purpose for which it was
invented. . . .

Dear Bareners,

I've made a couple of repairs on some blocks I'm carving and I used Elmer's
wood glue. The repairs look good to me, but I'm wondering what will happen
during moku-hanga style printing. Will the glue soften with all that
moisture? What do you all use for block repairs?

Ummm...I can't think of any reason for you to need a user name or
password unless
you are sending something to be added to the web-site itself. But if
you are - it is
'member' & 'baren'

and I don't think the computer sends
anything
out when you change address. At least I don't think it does.

middle-aged memory? I've got that & worse! Hahahahaha Getting
older is tough but a lot better than the alternative.

If you want your studio to stink like pepto bismol for six months, I suggest
wintergreen. It isn't toxic but gives pretty good headaches.
