Hey, I like the influential printmaker idea too. That was Wanda's idea, I
think.

A couple years ago I was in the "music" portfolio and mine was for Stanley
W. Hayter. He was influential to thousands or countless artists.

You can see it still at http://www.seanet.com/~ritchie/hayterol.pdf

Hey! Depending on where you lived (like almost on top of the fault line) those
tiny earthquakes were pretty surprising! I thought that a car had hit my house
or that there was a gas explosion somewhere on the block. And...you forgot about
.........ICE STORM!!!! Seriously, I am very thankful that we do not get the big
extremes in weather. My sympathies to all of you who have had your lives turned
upside down by these hurricanes.

P.S. My favorite part of the drive from Spokane to Seattle is through those
wonderful "scrub lands" from Ephrata down the gorge to the Mighty Columbia and
the climb back up to Ellensburg. Even better wildness from Yakima to
Ellensburg. *sigh*

Cyndy in Spokane - land of baby earthquakes, mini tornadoes and other minor
weather stuff.

Ran across an interesting website today:
http://www.catherineburns.com/
Really liked the work of William Rice.
http://www.catherineburns.com/Rice.html
Was intrigued by the fact that he created his prints using oil based
inks thinned with kerosene, in much the same manner as Japanese prints.

Comments?

Send Message: To this poster

Dear Burt,

I believe that the last time we heard anything from you was shortly after
you signed up for exchange #22 when you introduced yourself on BarenForum
#25627 on July 25, 2004

Since then Mary Kuster, the coordinator of exchange #22, has emailed you
numerous times both on and off-list and has received no response... I,
too, have emailed you and have asked you to respond but I have heard
nothing from you either.

I regret to inform you that we consider you 'lost' and therefore your name
has been removed from the participant list for Exchange #22. Mary will
replace you with the next available person on the waiting list.

Our exchange details
http://www.barenforum.org/exchange/exchange_22/exchange_22.html spell out
our requirements for participation, including this:
* Communications: It is essential that the coordinator be in close and
timely communication with you. You must respond promptly to e-mails sent
from the coordinator and must notify the coordinator of any change in
e-mail address. If you become 'lost' and do not respond to communications
from the coordinator, you may be dropped from the exchange without further
notice. If this occurs after the Drop-out deadline, a penalty may imposed.
Please let me hear from you if you have any questions at all.

Sincerely,

Mike Lyon, Manager [Baren] Exchange Program
Kansas City, Missouri
