Dear Bareners,

I would like to show you the prints I did last autumn at Nagasawa in Japan, where I joined the Nagasawa Woodblock Programm: http://www.pietzcker.de/en/aktuell.htm.

And regarding the ball-bearing-baren: I am normaly working with a bamboosheath-baren, but more than satisfied with my korokoro-baren for printing bigger prints.

Greetings from Eva Pietzcker

Dear Eva,

Your prints are just wonderful -- so impressive -- I'm particularly fond of
the tatami view -- would you describe your process a bit?

Hi everyone,

My old nipping press just fell apart on me. One of the threaded rods has
been stripped. Of course, I'm in the middle of printing my card for the
deck of cards exchange. I'm an alternate. The exchange is already months
behind. I bought ~$100 worth of ink and paper to participate and am
feeling thoroughly depressed right now.

The paper I've picked is Gampi Torinoko, a lovely (slick) Japanese paper
that I can't print by hand because it slides too much.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to print this
block without a press? I've been thinking about trying to use concrete
cinder blocks, but I'm not sure how much pressure I'll need to apply to
get the print to work.

Suggestions would be much appreciated.

emma

EmmaJane,

Contact me off list about trying to use my press.I will give you my number to
call. It has worked well for my printing so far... I am in Toronto and you
can bring your stuff here to try it, or the press is light enough I can bring
it to you with some trouble.
