Baren Digest Friday, 5 September 2003 Volume 24 : Number 2362 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Barbara Mason Date: Thu, 4 Sep 2003 08:22:21 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [Baren 22673] Re: Barbara's beautiful show Renee, You amaze me, your work just gets better and better..good job. Thanks to all who wished me well, I had about 60 people at my opening and considering it was 100 degrees here yesterday and still 93 at 9 pm that was sort of a miracle! This iw pretty hot for Oregon. We had a lot of beer left...what a shame. I took it all to Print Arts Northwest gallery so anyone who lives close, come to the first Wednesday party in October and help us get rid of it! I know you guys won't let me down here! p.s. I actually sold a couple of prints...so things are looking up. Of course these were my friends, but I think it still counts. Congratulations on your show. I wish we could be there. I couldn't find Wanda's prints at the http://www.printartsnw.org/ URL. I typed in her name in the search window there but nothing came up. ~Gayle ------------------------------ From: Wanda Date: Thu, 04 Sep 2003 11:16:21 -0700 Subject: [Baren 22675] Mesage from Kim Fink -- Clamshell boxes Apparent'y the internet is still not recovered from the recent barrages of worms & viruses! This just came through my box as an undeliverable message: I am a long-term lurker....and have a question for all bareners. Does anyone know of any good resources for relatively cheap custom made boxes? I am particularly interested in purchasing 10 - 20 clamshell boxes to house a suite of 10 prints, 15"x22" and about 3/4" deep. Any suggestions or resources? I appreciate any responses. Thanks! Until now I had no idea what your work was like...I love what I have seen of your work online, especially the "6th Gate". I really like this work and now that Mike thinks they should be woodblocks, I will see if I can make it so. Or maybe not. We are having Carribean weather here. 94 degrees today....we are all whining because it is soooo hot. I am planning on remembering this in December.
