For those who are coming out to the San Francisco area in August for April
Vollmer's excellent
August 10 Kala workshop and my hanga get-together on the 10th and 11th, you
might try camping near Point Reyes.  The campground is

You'll need to make reservations early.
Other campgrounds are located at China Camp in Marin County.  Also, the
youth hostels in this area are excellent.  The Marin Headlands, which is
part of the Golden Gate National Headlands, has youth hostels.  You'll need
a car to drive here from there.  Otherwise, there is my living room floor,
my small back deck and where ever else we can shoehorn you in.  There's a
motel nearby.  You can also get a room in a lighthouse off the coast near
here, or in the "world famous" Hotel Mac right here in Point Richmond.
Point Richmond is not on the map, because it is a neighborhood of Richmond,
