Glad to hear how the show is going in Irvington, New York.  Carol if you can 
send me paper pic of the show I would like that for some reason I can't down 
load the PICS.

Dan Dew your portfolio is in the mail sent it express should be there Feb 21.

I received a print in the mail after I sent out the prints for the different 
shows I will include it in the portfolios I am sending out to all of the 
participants.  I remember setting Jan 1 as the dead line.  I thought that 
would give people enough time to get prints to me for the shows.  I will 
start sending out the prints this week.  If you can show or sell them for the 
benefit of firemen that would be wonderful if you want to keep them please 
send in a donation to the fireman benefit I will leave the amount of the 
donation up to you. I am not in a position to judge what others can afford to 
give. 

At this point I would like to thank Dean of graphic for his help.  He has 
been a real help in this project and I am very grateful.  Thank you dean.

Still receiving horses.  Way cool folks lots of work Jan ESP for the number 
of prints in the horse coral.

On the wood front it should not be hard to get cherry or hard maple.  Go on 
line there are place were you can order it and have it shipped if it is not 
locally avable. with a couple of clamps and some glue cherry or maple can be 
made any width or you might use an old table top nicely aged and it carves 
well.  I can't see using particle board or plywood unless i wanted a special 
effect  such as Maria in the fireman portfolio.
I don't feel using hard woods or even tropical woods is harmful to the 
envirment to the enviroment.   The rain forests are being destroyed not 
because someone is using wood but because they are burning them for farming 
both susistance farming and corporate farming.    Those of us who use 
tropical wood are encuraging it to be planted and saved in a useful manner if 
it is deemed as a valuable thing it will be keep and harvisted. and not 
burned as is now the case.
