The print is water based, using my usual inks (funny, no comment regarding the article in the Baren Newsletter, huh). I started the block using a brayer for the first two colors, then cleaned up nice, then painted the eyes, then printed them. The next color was rolled on, etc.... I used the same ink to paint with that I roll with, just added a small touch of extender. My next print is going to be waves crashing into a shore, so I am tempted to try a whole reduction block using this method, mmmmmmmm - -- Daniel L. It's used to encourage students to experiment with a variety of ways of printing one matrix. When you land on the way you want, you edition it, otherwise you keep making monoprints. So, you can unload your guilt and print on! (If this isn't legal, then I've been encouraging folks to do illegal things for a good many years and the print police haven't caught me, yet) :>) Sharri ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V17 #1628 *****************************
