After treatment, rinse the paper several times to remove the bleach, or you may get some strange effects in your ink! Soak it in water with a little household chlorine bleach and rinse well and hang to dry. Preferably in the sun, if you have any where you are. Or under some form of ultra violet light. This is usually called FOXING. It partially depends on what kind of mold it is and what kind of paper and where the paper is stored. It is possible to remove/make inert mold in an archival situation. Where the paper will be stored at the correct humidity and temperature. If you are trying to get mod out of paper you will then use for artwork. I would suggest this will be difficult. The chemicals/procedures for restoration may well inhibit the binders and sizing of the paper, making the paper useless for the creation of artwork. Sometimes the best is to just put the paper outside in the direct SUN. Mold does not like Ultraviolet light. But of course be a ware of fading..... There are several resources available, the handiest is "The Artist's Handbook of Materials & Techniques." There are two editions of this book. If I can help further, give me a note. I have experience mould and if you have never seen a grown man cry that would have been the time. It happened on some very expensive Hosho paper. I had paid $25.00 a sheet back then, about 1995. What did I do..... ? I cried..... Well, I diluted some Javex Bleach ... about the same strength as you would use for bleaching cloths. 15 to 20 to 1 I dabbed just enough on the spots of mould. After a few moments I then took a soft Sable hair brush and rinsed and dabbed with a Kleenex to remove any traces of the bleach and put the sheet away to dry. It did not remove the spot.... which was pinkish... but then the mould was stopped dead in its tracks and did not grow any more. As this happened on the outside border of a print and beyond the 1/2" that shows between the matt and the image it did not show itself when framed. I have never found a method of removing the spot so if it shows and is obvious on the print only you can decide if it can be used. Certainly you could not put bleach on the image section it as this would bleach the colour (waterbase pigment). If you have not printed it yet, the bleach could be applied to stop the mould and them soak the paper in clean water to insure the bleach has been removed. About an hour of Sun light will also kill the mould. It did not remove the spots. Damn.....Double damn As a preventative I have a small jar of Thymol crystals. Available at a Pharmacy. I put in two small pieces...(about 1/8" to 3/16) in size and dissolve this into a litre/gallon of distilled water. This deters the mould but it can still happen if you offer it a moist warm atmosphere for too long a time frame. I have not used tap water for years, even though our source is mountain lakes on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. When it is warm weather I always put my paper, that has been wrapped in plastic bag, into the Freeze at night.
