At first I thought he had fired them, and then something gave me the idea he had not done that afterall! Great idea Jean. John A, Silvia and Brad in the exchange #7! On a slippery slope here gang ... we've got quite a lot of people in these exchanges who really do not want to get into making a 'lot' of prints - we set it at 30 copies (plus one for the Portland archive), and if we start to creep up, adding more each time, we'll soon be in an intolerable situation. Having a second group would avoid that problem, but I really doubt that we have that many people interested at the moment. To date at least, having a new exchange start up every three months has seemed to match the demand very closely. At the moment, three people are on the 'wait list' to get in Exchange #7, and Gayle also asked ... so that makes four ... The only way to find the best course here is to get some feedback. If [Baren] truly has grown to the point where the '30 every three months' isn't enough, then the policy will have to be altered. A while back, somebody tossed out the idea of having a 30/30 exchange, with two groups of thirty participants. Do we really have _that_ much interest here? If there are any other [Baren] members out there interested in 'some kind of expansion' of Exchange #7 (but only one that doesn't call for other members to make many more prints), then go to the sign-up form within the next couple of days and leave your name, so that the council can make a quick decision on this. ... http://woodblock.com/forum/exchange/exchange_sign-up.html What I _should_ be telling you right now is "All those who want to 'exchange' but didn't get into #7, just head over to the SwapShop; there are no deadlines there, and a bunch of prints are already sitting in their folders, waiting to be sent out to Swapees." We've got good programs in place - let's use them to their potential! Producing more than 31 prints would be too much for me- even if that allowed me to include myself! (Vaguely reminds me of the Groucho Marxism: "I wouldn't want to join a club that would have the likes of me as a member".) :~D :~D Either way, I will certainly go ahead with a design whether it winds up in Ye Olde Swap Shoppe,#7 or a #7.5 exchange...
