Blots: thank you Dave and Richard...I use a paintbrush of water to give a
blot some extra water before trying to lift it off. I was wondering about
Matt's razor blade, though, I usually wait for the paper to dry before
attacking those persistant blots with a blade.

By the way, I got a great (but expensive) Japanese blade from Talas, sharp
as a razor, but slightly curved, so it smoothly carves into the blot.
